Lego building blocks are fun and educational at the same time which is why they’re so popular with both kids and parents alike. If your child enjoys playing with Lego for long periods of time then it’s definitely worthwhile investing in an activity table.

What to Look for in a Lego Table?

We have all played with Lego at least once in our lives. Being able to build whatever you can imagine with these simple building blocks is just plain awesome for a child. Lego can keep children of all ages entertained for hours on end, releasing their inner creative minds and imaginations.

Recommended Age

You need to take the child’s age in consideration when buying a Lego table. A tiny pre-school type table without chairs works great for toddlers but not for older kids. If your kids are around 5 years or over then make sure the table is a bit bigger, ideally with a couple of chairs included.

You also need to consider if the table should be a dedicated Lego table or more of a multi-purpose activity table. This of course very much depends on what your child likes to play with all day.

Compatibility

Also make sure whether the table is suitable for Duplo bricks or just the traditional Lego stones. This is important if your kids are very young, as Duplo bricks are typically larger than the the classic bricks making them eaiser to handle.

Currently, the Duplo range also includes sets with figures, cars, trains and houses. The Duplo bricks are compatible with the classic bricks.

Features and Price

Some tables are very fancy (and pricy!) with chairs and storage compartments for example. While these tables are absolutely awesome, there’s nothing wrong with keeping things simple.

You could just as well decide to buy (or re-use) a plain table and customize it so that kids can play with Lego (or with any other similar toys) on them. There are, for example, Lego strips available that you can stick to tables.
